The relationship between human advancement and cognitive development

Human advancement and cognitive development are two concepts that are found at the intersection of several theories on human progression. Naturally, our ability to solve problems roots from our inability to solve them – a substantial cognitive effort is required. Our inability, in this case, is not a fault of ours; it’s part of our inherent biological nature. We are subject to the forces of ambition and greed – which means that we will fulfill our desires at the expense of others. This inevitably will cause problems. Some are inadvertent, some are intended. But all of these problems must be solved. According to the theory of natural selection, we must solve this problem.
